This style could just as well be done with your own hair if it is quite long. I really like this one because it’s quick and it shows off the comb which is unlike some of the other styles which cover up the comb.

This starts with a switch make from 1/2 a package of Braiding hair. How-to here. One bustle comb, some rubber bands and some pomade with light hold.

I combed and smoother the two half of the stitch with the pomade. Then added some rubber bands on each side about 1/4 of the way from the end.

Hold the middle of the stitch to the center back of the comb and wrap the left half of the switch around the points at the top of the comb twice Around the center and the left “U”.

Push the rubber band thru the first oval from the back.

Pull the hair all the way thru the oval.

Bring the other half of the switch from the back thru the center of the “legs” of the comb and over the front.

Push the ribber band thru the first oval from the back. Then pull the hair all the way thru.

Take the left 1/2 switch and push the band thru the second oval on the right then all the way thru.

Bring the right 1/2 switch across and push the rubber band thru the oval on the left side.

It will look like this. It is important not to tug too hard on the switches. Move the rubber bands down if they get too close to the weave.

In order not to obscure the comb from now on you need to first bring the switch to the center from the back before going thru the opposite side oval from the front to the back. Always first the left side then the right side.

After weaving the last set of ovals remove the rubber bands.

Take the remaining hair and twist or braid it and add a rubber band at the end.

Tuck the twist under and use bobby pin to hold it along the center line. This will help puff out the bun. This can be pinned onto the back of your head and would cover up a very small ponytail if that is all the hair you have.
