I have scanned, enlarged and redrafted (with a few changes) this pattern From “the Workwomen’s Guide” 1838 and now I can offer it as a free download broken into printable pages on either legal or A4 paper. The pattern has 1/2′ seam allowance and I have altered the pattern to allow for a 2″ edge lace as you see here. It is perfect made up with a single layer of silk organza for each collar layer.

The pattern was adapted from Plate 13 figure 28 and 36 seen below. The original is a reduced drawing framed by a grid in nails. Nails is an old unit of measure which is 1/16 of a yard.
